A Srinagar court ordered Saturday to further investigate the matter in connection with attempting to forcibly enter the hotel with a minor Kashmiri girl of Indian Army officer Maj Litul Gogoi. The court of Chief Judicial Magistrate of Srinagar also said that the investigation in the case has been done in a very careless manner without realizing the facts. The court has asked the police to submit the report by September 18.
CJM said in its order, keeping in mind the report submitted by related police station and the summary of the application, it is my opinion that further investigation is needed in the case.
CJM ordered this while hearing a petition filed by Mohammad Ahsan Untu, chairman of the International Forum for Justice and Human Rights (IFJHR). It has been said in the order that the investigating agency did not detect the role of the military personnel Sameer Malla why did he go to the hotel with that girl?
According to the statement filed before the Executive Magistrate during the investigation, Major Gogoi uploaded his name as Ubaid Usmani and through that opened a fake Facebook account. That also needs to have detailed investigations under the provisions of the Information Technology Act.
Mohamed Ahsan Untu gave an appeal before the CJM after taking custody of the Major Gogoi by the police on May 23, 2018.
Let tell you that Major Gogoi was arrested with a 17-year-old minor Kashmiri girl while attempting to forcibly enter the hotel. Major Gogoi had been at the center of discussions of human shielding controversy last year. He was recently convicted of having a friendship with a local girl in the Court of Inquiry. Along with this, the path of his potential court martial was cleared.
