Umashankar Singh had written, 'Bande Marte Hain Hum'. Commenting on this tweet, Tejasvi Yadav wrote, "Correctly said their vande mataram = Bande Marte Hain Hum."

On the remarks of Tejasvi Yadav, District President of Janta Dal United Technological Cell, Iqbal Ansari has filed a petition in the CGM court and said that Tejasvi Yadav has insulted the national song from a tweet on August 13. And their tweets have hurt Indian and Indianism. In this case Janata Dal United leader has also accused Umashankar Singh.

Both of them have been sued under IPC Section 124 (A) (Nation treason), 120 (B) Indian Penal Code, 501 (B) Indian Penal Code, Prevention of Insult to National Honour Act 69 (1971).

It has been said in the petition that this anti-national tweet of a former Deputy Chief Minister proves that it is neither concerned about respecting the nation nor for the image of the nation for its political selfishness.

Iqbal Ansari said that despite being a strong criticism on this tweet, Tejasvi Yadav neither deleted this tweet nor apologized for it. Relieved by the attitude of the RJD leader, he had to come to the court's shelter.
