What did Tejashwi Yadav say on the incidents of bridge collapse in Bihar?

Friday, July 5, 2024

At least 10 new and old bridges have collapsed in Bihar in the last 15 days.

RJD leader and former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav has criticized the 'double engine' government of Bihar over the continuous collapse of bridges in the Indian state of Bihar.

Tejashwi Yadav said, "Ever since Nitish Kumar became the Chief Minister of Bihar, JDU has had the Rural Development Department for the rest of the time except for 18 months."

Tejashwi Yadav said, "When we had this ministry, the department did not have any money. When we got the money, we were only able to approve the bridges. The construction of bridges must have started after that. Papers are being leaked in Bihar, bridges are falling. In the double engine government here, one engine is engaged in corruption and one in crime."

The series of collapse of new bridges and under-construction bridges continues in Bihar.

In the last 15 days, more than 10 new and old bridges have collapsed in Bihar. Political allegations and counter-allegations are also continuing regarding the collapse of bridges in Bihar.

This kind of criticism of the Bihar government has not only been done by the opposition, but Chirag Paswan, leader of the Lok Janshakti Party, which is part of the NDA, has also raised questions on such incidents.

Chirag Paswan said, "There has been a compromise with the quality in the construction of bridges, which is a serious issue and I am sure that the state government will be taking it seriously."
