The Patna High Court upheld the demand for getting the salary of employed teachers similar to permanent teachers in various government schools in Bihar on Tuesday.
The Chief Justice of the Patna High Court, Rajendra Menon and Justice Anil Kumar Upadhyay, as per the implementation of the principle of equal pay for equal work, to demand for getting the same salary as other permanent teachers of state government schools of the appointed teachers before the rule of 2006 is justified.
This decision of the Patna High Court is seen as a big relief for nearly four lakh teachers of Bihar who are getting less honorable than other permanent teachers of state government schools.
The Patna High Court has given this order while hearing the petitions of several others, including the Bihar Secondary Teachers Conflict Committee, which challenged the 2006 rule of the restoration of the teachers of Bihar government.
It is notable that the state government had made rules in 2006 for the restoration of teachers from primary to secondary schools, but later the government had announced the grant of salary to those employed teachers who were less than permanent teachers .
