The problems of Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt can grow again. The Bombay High Court on Monday asked the Maharashtra government to justify the immediate release of Sanjay's decision on the 1993 serial bomb blast case.

Sanjay Dutt was sentenced to five years rigorous imprisonment for possessing illegal arms in the Mumbai serial bomb blast case of March 12, 1993. Dutt was arrested in 1993. He had already spent 18 months in prison as a convict.

In May 2013, he was sent to jail for cutting his remaining 42 months sentence. 8 months before the completion of the sentence, in February 2016, he was released on the basis of good behavior from Yerwada jail of Pune.

The bench of Justice RM Sawant and Sadhana Jadhav asked Pardeep Bhlekar, the Pune resident, to file an affidavit in this regard with the government while hearing the PIL. The court has asked to provide details of those points or reasons, on which the concession was given to Sanjay Dutt.

Justice Sawant asked, "Was the opinion taken from the DIG jail or the jail superintendent sent the recommendation directly to the governor? Did the authorities decide how Dutt's behavior is good? When he (Sanjay) stayed out of Parrol for half the time, how did he (officials) get such an assessment time? "The court will take further hearing in this matter after a week.

After being released from Yerwada jail, Sanjay had said to the media, "I have been convicted in the Arms Act, not in the bomb blast case. So do not add a name to me. My name is Sanjay Dutt, I am not a terrorist. I got the most relief at the time when the court said that you are not terrorist. My father wanted to hear this whole life."
