The Indian cricket team left for the West Indies tour on June 20 without coach Anil Kumble. First news came that Kumble could not accompany the team due to an urgent meeting, but after this late night, Kumble resigned from the post of coach and cleared up the case. Indian captain Virat Kohli was seen to be a big reason behind this.

Now it is also revealed that there was a lot of turmoil in the team for the last 6 months. One source said that even during this conversation between Virat Kohli and Anil Kumble was closed.

When the top officials of BCCI came to know about this, an attempt was made to settle the matter with both of them, but they also failed.

BCCI officials said that the two had stopped talking to each other after the England Test series ended in December last year. There were problems, but it was shocking that the two were not communicating properly in the last six months. After the final on Sunday, they sat together and they both agreed that it is difficult to get along with them.

Now the senior BCCI official Rajiv Shukla has made it clear that before the Sri Lanka tour, the team will get a new coach. He said that the BCCI made best efforts on its behalf to resolve this issue. The Working Secretary and the CEO discussed this matter with Kumble and Kohli in detail. The Board also got the suggestion from COA Chairman Vinod Rai. Attempts were made to resolve the issue, but in the end there was no result and Kumble decided to step down.

Kumble also said after resigning from the post that a day earlier I came to know with the BCCI that the captain has problems with my style and he does not want to keep me as a coach. I was surprised by this because I always respected the line between the captain and the coach. Although the BCCI tried to resolve the dispute between me and the captain, but it was clear that the partnership is not going to run, so I believe that I should step down from the post.
