Asian Games 2026: India's cricket team defeated Sri Lanka; will face Pakistan in the final

India has secured a victory in the semi-final match of the men's cricket competition at the 2026 Asian Games. By defeating Sri Lanka by 124 runs, India has booked a spot in the gold medal match.

After losing the toss and batting first on Thursday, India scored 169 runs for the loss of 7 wickets in 20 overs. In response, the Sri Lankan team was bowled out for 45 runs in 9.5 overs.

For India, Ishan Kishan played an unbeaten innings of 80 runs. Vaibhav Suryavanshi also scored 38 runs off 21 balls.

On the bowling front, Jasprit Bumrah, Axar Patel, and Abhishek Sharma claimed two wickets each. Meanwhile, six Sri Lankan batsmen failed to open their accounts.

On the other hand, Pakistan defeated Bangladesh by 6 wickets in the first semi-final. India will now face Pakistan in the final.
