Young leader of Gujarat's Thakur community, Alpesh Thakur is going to join the Congress before the Assembly elections. The announcement was made after Alpesh Thakore met the senior leaders of the Gujarat Congress on Saturday (October 21).

On October 23, in the presence of Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi in a rally in Ahmedabad, Alpesh Thakur will be in the Congress. Aapesh Thakur is the leader of the OBC Integration Forum.

According to sources, Alpesh Thakore can contest the Congress ticket from Vav seat of Banaskantha district.

Let us know that OBC voters have a big role in the Gujarat assembly elections. The number of OBC voters in Gujarat is 54 per cent, so every party wants to make this community in their favor.

Alpesh Thakore has claimed that 5 lakh people will be mobilized on the October 23 rally.

Earlier, Congress had invited Patidar Reservation Movement leader Hardik Patel, Thakur community leader Alpesh Thakur and Dalit leader Jignesh Mewani to join hands with the party to defeat the ruling BJP.

In addition to these leaders, the Congress has indicated the pre-election alliance to bring together the Chhotu Bhai Vasava, the only legislator from the Janata Dal United from Gujarat and the Nationalist Congress Party led by Sharad Pawar.

While addressing the press conference, Gujarat Congress chief Bharat Singh Solanki expressed confidence that with the 'support and blessings' of these leaders, the party will win more than 125 seats out of a total of 182 seats.

Solanki told reporters, "Though BJP is trying its best to win the elections, it will not get success in preventing the congress victory march for Gandhinagar."

He said, "We respect and approve that for which Hardik Patel is fighting. I appeal to Hardik to support Congress during the elections. If he wants to contest elections in future, we are ready to give him a ticket.''

He said, "Similarly, we have invited Jignesh Mewani to join hands with the Congress. I have also invited Chhotu Vasava to support the Congress who helped us in the Rajya Sabha elections. "

He said that the Nationalist Congress Party had betrayed the Congress in the Rajya Sabha elections, but if they want to uproot the BJP from Gujarat then the doors of the Congress are still open to them.
