Congress leader in India and MP from Rae Bareli, Rahul Gandhi has been made the Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.

Rahul Gandhi explained the meaning of Leader of Opposition (LOP) by posting a video on the social media platform X on Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

Rahul Gandhi said, "I heartily thank the people of the country, the workers of Congress and the leaders of the India Alliance."

"Someone asked me what does Leader of Opposition (LOP) mean to me? LOP is your voice, your tool. Whatever feelings you have in your heart, whatever problems you have, I will raise them for you in the Lok Sabha through the LOP.''

Rahul said, "Poor people of India, Dalits, tribals, backward, minorities, farmers and laborers, I am yours. You are protected by the Constitution. Wherever the government attacked the Constitution, tried to suppress the Constitution, we will protect the Constitution with full force. I am yours, I will raise your voice in Parliament.''
