PV Sindhu Created History by Winning Korea Super Series

Indian badminton player PV Sindhu created a new history by winning the Korea Open Badminton Tournament on Sunday defeating Japan's Nozomi Okuhara and she became the first Indian player to win the Korea Open Badminton Tournament.

In the women's singles match lasted one hour and 24 minutes, Sindhu won the match by defeating Okuhara 22-20, 11-21, 21-18. For Sindhu though, this victory was not easy.

In this match, Sindhu was seen knee-deep several times in front of aggressive Okuhara. Small in the stature of Sindhu, but Okuhara further forwarded no opportunity to overtake Indian athlete.

In the first game, Sindhu defeated Okuhara 22-20, while in the second game, she looked weak ahead of Okuhara and lagged behind 11-21. The third game was important among both, because it was about deciding to win the title.

In the third game, Sindhu got some success in defeating Okuhara by Stinging all her energy and strength.

During this game, at one time, Sindhu got almost tired on mat, but she was not willing to give up and therefore, she got up again and she won the third set 21-18 to beat Okuhara.

It is worth mentioning that this year, Okuhara won the gold medal by defeating Sindhu in the final of the World Championship and Indian player had to be satisfied with the silver medal.

Now, after completing her revenge, Sindhu won not only Korea Open, but also compared the number of matches against Okhara to 4-4.

This is the second Super Series title of Sindhu. Earlier, she won the title of India Open by defeating Carolina Marin of Spain.
