Mandsaur Demonstration: Centre Sent 11,000 Soldiers of Paramilitary Force, Rahul Gandhi to Visit on Thursday

In Madhya Pradesh, the Shivraj Singh Chauhan government is doing its utmost to prevent violence, but the situation has not been able to control till now.

Tension has increased after the death of 5 farmers during a demonstration in Mandsaur District on Tuesday (June 6th).

Shivraj Singh Chauhan, through Twitter, has appealed for peace.

Apart from this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also held a meeting about the situation. The Central Government has sent 1100 soldiers of anti-riot police force to restore peace in Mandsaur of Madhya Pradesh.

The Central Government has sought detailed report on the steps taken by the state government to restore the general situation in the violence and violence-affected areas yesterday.

An official of the Home Ministry said that around 600 personnel of Rapid Action Force (RAF) have already reached Mandsaur for the help of the local administration. On the request of the state government, the Home Ministry is sending 500 soldiers of RAF to Mandsaur.

Congress Vice-President Rahul Gandhi has said that he will go to Mandsaur on Thursday to meet the families of farmers killed in police firing.

On Wednesday, the situation became even more serious when violence spread to other parts of the state. Farmers raided the Hat Pipilia police station in Dewas on Wednesday and set fire to vehicles seized there.

The farmers also handed over more than 10 vehicles, including two buses running between Bhopal-Indore, to the fire.

According to information received from the police, the farmers reached the Hat Pipilia police station in the form of a procession, where they fomented and handed over the seizure vehicles kept in the premises. After this, the agitating farmers moved towards Nevala Fata, where they sabotaged vehicles.

Information and Broadcasting Minister M. Venkaiah Naidu on Wednesday alleged that the Congress party was spreading violence in the name of farmers' movement in Mandsaur, Madhya Pradesh. According to Naidu, "Congress is trying to give it a political turn. I just want to tell them that they do not politicize this issue and do not incite violence in the name of the peasant movement, because its effect can be reversed on them."

Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has announced on Wednesday the financial assistance of two lakh rupees. Akhilesh has targeted BJP Government with the announcement of economic Subsidies. Targeting the BJP, he said in the tweet, "Cheating on the name of debt waiver in Uttar Pradesh, grab onto farmers in Maharashtra, killing five farmers in Madhya Pradesh (Mandsaur)". He said in another tweet that in Mandsaur The Samajwadi party will give two lakh rupees to the families of deceased farmers.
