Kamal Haasan has become a leader from actor on Wednesday. He officially launched his political party on Wednesday. His new party name will be 'Makkal Nidhi Maayam'. During the party announcement, Delhi's CM Arvind Kejriwal was also present there.

Kamal Haasan started his political shift from the residence of former President APJ Abdul Kalam. He said that he is no longer a film star, but a 'lamp' of people's homes. While addressing the people during his visit to Madurai, Kamal said, "You should protect me like a lamp of the house." Kamal announced his party's name and flag at a rally in Madurai.

Kamal met the elder brother of late former president and other family members in Rameswaram. On this occasion the actor tweeted, "Greatness can come from ordinary beginnings. In fact it can only come easily. The beginning of your journey is the pleasure of doing great work from the ordinary house. "

In Rameswaram, many 'Nalai Naamadhey' (Yesterday Ours) written flags were seen in white color, on which the map of Tamilnadu was made in black.

Dalit leader Thol Thirumavalan told reporters that Kamal and Rajinikanth were agents of BJP to harm DMK in Tamil Nadu. Kamal was strongly welcomed on arrival to Madurai on Tuesday evening.

Kamal Haasan said in his hometown, "I have come here after 45 years. A little changed, but people have not changed. I am the son of all of you. All of you have seen me as a movie star, from now on I want to tell you that I am not a cinema star. I am the lamp of everyone's house. Please save me and hold me back."

Senior Congress leader M Veerappa Moily said that I do not think there is any place for new regional parties here (Tamil Nadu). Unless he combines with the mainstream regional parties (DMK and AIADM). I think the possibility of Kamal Haasan's party is very marginal.
