Dr. Kafeel Khan, accused of the accident in Baba Raghav Das Medical College (BRD) of Gorakhpur in Uttar Pradesh, has been arrested by Uttar Pradesh State STF.

Police have already been arrested College's Principal Rajiv Mishra and his wife Dr. Purnima Shukla. In this case on Friday, the police had taken non-bailable warrant from the court against seven accused, including the accused, Dr Kafeel.

Since then, the police had sharpened the dash to capture Kafeel. Earlier, the STF had arrested former Principal Dr. Rajiv Mishra and his wife Dr. Purnima Shukla from Kanpur in an attempt to hide.

Later, they were brought to Gorakhpur and on Thursday they were sent to jail by Special Judge Court of Corruption. Simultaneously, the police also engaged in an attempt to take non-bailable warrants against them. On Friday, the police got success in this.

Case analyst Abhishek Singh applied for non-bailable warrant in the court of Mahendra Pratap Singh of Fast Track Court First on which the court had issued non-bailable warrant against seven of the absconding accused.

It is worth mentioning that the supply of oxygen was stopped for some hours on August 10 in the BRD Medical College. In these two days, 33 infants died in the Department of Pediatric Disease.

In addition, 18 patients died in medicine. Following this incident, the government formed a probe team headed by the Chief Secretary. After the team's report, the FIR was registered.

At FIR of Director General of Medical Education Dr. K. K. Gupta, the police had filed a lawsuit against 9 people including the then Principal Dr. Rajiv Mishra on August 23 in Hazratganj police station. In this, former Principal Dr. Rajiv Mishra is absconding besides his wife Dr. Purnima Shukla.
