Team India's main coach has not been selected yet. BCCI clarified that the decision on the new coach has not been taken at this time.

The CAC is still negotiating on this. Prior to this, media reports said that Ravi Shastri has been selected as the Chief Coach of Team India.

BCCI Working Secretary Amitabh Chaudhary said in the press conference that we should not pay attention to those things, which are false.

He also said that he can not tell that when will the name of coach be declared?

Amitabh Chaudhary said that the CAC members are talking about this and they are free to take any decision. We are very sensitive about this issue. The race for this post includes Virender Sehwag, Ravi Shastri, Tom Moody, Richard Pybus, Lalchand Rajput.

On July 10, the Cricket Advisory Committee (CAC), appointed to coach, had interviewed the candidates. Meanwhile Sachin Tendulkar, besides a CAC member, most members were associated with Skype. Only Virender Sehwag came to give an interview personally. The candidates who gave the presentation for the post of coach were Ravi Shastri, Tom Moody, Virender Sehwag, Richard Pybus and Lalchand Rajput.
