CRPF IG Rajnish Rai has been transferred to accusing the fake encounter on the Army, CRPF, SSB and Assam Police. Rai had said that in March this year, the team had killed two people in a fake encounter.

Rai has been shown the way out from the north-east with immediate effect. He was asked to join the Counter-Insurgency and Anti Terrorism (CIAT) School in Chittoor, Andhra Pradesh.

Rai was posted on the post of the Northeast IG of CRPF. Rai's transfer has been done at a time when the Home Ministry has decided to investigate his allegations.

Rai claims that an encounter was done by the army, Assam Police, CRPF and Sashastra Sima Bal (SSB) in Chirang district on March 10, 2017. Rai gave this information to the headquarter in Delhi in his report.

According to him, weapons were planted on their dead bodies by killing two people for encounter, so that it was felt that the alleged terrorists attacked the security forces. Two people killed in the encounter were Lukas Norgery and David Isleri.

In the case, not only on the transfer of Rai but also on the process of questioning. On Monday, CRPF Headquarters sent a letter to its DIG in Guwahati and told that IPS officer D Prakash, who joined the force on the first day of the deputation, will reach the capital on Tuesday, and arrange accommodation and vehicle. After Prakash reached Guwahati, Rai got the transfer orders, which was the date of June 12, 2017 (Monday).

In this order it was said that Prakash was originally appointed IG (Communication and Information Revolution), but he would also take additional charge of Rai's post. Prakash's Guwahati go and Rai's transfer orders were issued on the same date.

According to Rai, they were picked up from the house of a village named D-Kaling to encroach them, they were killed in a fake encounter in Simlaguri village. Both Lukas and David were claimed to be terrorists of the organization called the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB (S)).

On the other hand, Rai has also claimed that the eyewitness linked with this case is safe in his custody. According to them, these eyewitnesses identified the dead bodies only.
