Asia Cup Final: India beat Malaysia 2-1

Indian men's hockey team defeated Malaysia in the final match on Sunday to win the Hero Asia Cup-2017 title.

In this exciting title match played at the Maulana Bhashani National Stadium, the Indian team beat Malaysia 2-1. Pakistan defeated South Korea by 6-3 to win the bronze medal in the match played on Sunday.

The Indian team has captured the title for the third time. Earlier, he won the tournament in Kuala Lumpur in 2003 and Chennai in 2007.

India started the final match well. In the third minute, Ramandeep Singh won the team's pass from SV Sunil, and turned the team's account into the goal.

India finished the first quarter 1-0. After this, after struggling for a long time in the second quarter, Lalit Upadhyaya scored the goal in the 29th minute to give the team 2-0 ahead.

There was considerable confrontation between Malaysia and India in the third quarter. None of the two teams could score in this quarter. In the fourth quarter, the goalkeeper Akash Chikte played an important role.

Malaysia won the penalty corner twice in this quarter, but Akash stopped on both the expectations of Malaysia's goal and thus India defeated Malaysia 2-1 to win the Hero Hockey Asia Cup title.
