Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has apologized on Monday (August 21) in a case of defamation. He has apologized to Haryana Congress leader and former MP Avtar Singh Bhadana in the Delhi High Court.
Indeed, Congress leader Avtar Singh Bhadana had filed a defamation suit against CM Kejriwal in Delhi's Patiala House Court. Also demanded compensation of one crore rupees.
However, after facing allegations, Kejriwal, who is facing legal difficulties, has apologized to himself in writing.
In the meantime, Kejriwal argued in the court that he had made these statements after coming to the side of his colleague. Coming to the support of the associate, he used such words against the Congress leader.
Let me tell you that Delhi Chief Minister Kejriwal had made a derogatory statement on January 31, 2014 against former Lok Sabha MP Avtar Singh Bhadana.
Then Kejriwal had said that Bhadana is one of the most corrupt people in the country. During that time Bhadana had said that Kejriwal's statement has hurt his social reputation. During this, he had asked Kejriwal to immediately send a notice and apologize for his statement.
Let that Union Minister Arun Jaitley also file a defamation case against Kejriwal. In December 2015, Jaitley had filed a defamation case against six Aam Aadmi Party leaders including Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chaddha.
Jaitley filed a defamation case against Kejriwal's statement in which the Aam Aadmi Party leaders had accused Jaitley of having jumped many financial disturbances in the 13-year tenure of the Delhi District Cricket Association president.
However, during the hearing of the case in the past, the Union Minister filed a defamation suit against Kejriwal for Rs 10 crore.
According to the news, during the hearing of the case, Kejriwal's lawyer had addressed Jaitley as a scoundrel.
