Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has expressed concern about the safety of Pakistani students in Bishkek, the capital of Kyrgyzstan.
“I am extremely concerned about the safety of Pakistani students in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan,” Shehbaz Sharif posted on X.
“The embassy has been ordered to help the students in every possible way. My office is in touch with the Embassy and the situation is being constantly monitored."
After the violent incidents outside the student hostel in Bishkek, the Embassy of Pakistan in Kyrgyzstan has asked the students not to come out.
"We are in constant touch with the local authorities for the safety of Pakistani students," Pakistan's embassy posted on Twitter.
Pakistan's Tehreek-e-Insaf party posted a video on X.
In this video, the young man who described himself as a medical student said, "We have come to Kyrgyzstan to study medicine. There was a fight between the Arabs and the local people."
“Three students have died due to this fight. Knives and guns are being used. Children, women and no one is safe here. We are inside the hostel and we have locked our doors. Many students have been injured."

The Embassy of India in Kyrgyzstan has issued instructions keeping in mind the safety of Indian students.
The Indian Embassy has instructed students not to come out of their homes.
The Indian Embassy in Kyrgyzstan posted on Twitter, "We are in touch with our students. At present the situation is peaceful. But we are instructing students to stay inside the hostel."
“Any matter can be contacted with the embassy. We are available 24 hours on this number 0555710041."
