Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) President Mayawati on Tuesday asked the workers to be prepared for the fight against the atrocities being committed against the Dalits. While leaving the village Shabirpur in Saharanpur, he stayed for a few minutes in Meerut.

She said that this time is not welcome, it is of struggle. Earlier, Mayawati, who came out with a convoy of vehicles from Delhi, reached Ghaziabad at around 12 noon. Mayawati's supporters welcomed with flowers on the Uttar Pradesh Gate in Ghaziabad.

Mayawati told the workers that the BSP has to be ready to fight. Workers welcomed her in Kharuli. Even there, Mayawati called for the struggle for the dalits and left. Seeing the zeal of the workers Mayawati was excited.

Prior to leaving for Saharanpur, BSP President Mayawati was confronted with the media in New Delhi. She said, "Saharanpur officials did not give me the facility of helipad."

She said, "My party's people met DM and SSP for the convenience of the helipad. The authorities did not permit the helipad. That is why I have to go to Saharanpur by road. It is the responsibility of the government. The responsibility of the government is as long as I get back to Delhi."

Mayawati said, "If anything happens to me on the way to the road, it will be BJP responsible."

Mayawati said that the incident in Saharanpur is painful. There is a casteist government of BJP in Uttar Pradesh. The Yogi's government is prejudiced, the incident of Saharanpur has happened due to bias.

Mayawati visits Shabirpur village of Saharanpur on Tuesday (May 23). Due to the violence in Shabirpur by the Dalit organization Bhima Army, massive demonstrations were held in Delhi. People come from seven states of North India.

Chandrasekhar was founded by the Dalit organization Bhima Army two years ago. This is Mayawati's first visit to Uttar Pradesh after the defeat in the Assembly elections. Mayawati started the tour from the Dalit constituency.

Last week, Mayawati criticized Yogi Adityanath Government. She said that it has failed to fulfill its major constitutional duty of providing security to the people. After the elections, the party has decided to make a more aggressive approach to the Dalit issues with heavy reshuffle in the organization.
