US President Donald Trump told the press conference at the White House on Sunday that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the head of the extremist organization Islamic State, killed himself during a raid by the US Special Forces in Syria.

The operation took place in the Idlib area of northwest Syria.

Different countries of the world are constantly reacting to this news.

Turkish President Rechep Tayyip Ardoan has described the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the fugitive leader of the Islamic State, as a turning point.

He wrote in his tweet that the killing of Baghdadi is a turning point in our common fight against terrorism. Turkey will further support efforts against terrorism as it has always done.

He said that Turkey has paid a great price in action against IS, PKK / YPG and other extremist organizations.

Turkey's foreign minister has confirmed that information was shared between the armies of the two countries during the US campaign.

Unlike Turkey, Russia's defense ministry has raised doubts over the US claim of action.

Igor Konashenkaf, a spokesman for Russia's Ministry of Defense, said that he had not received concrete information that the US had conducted an operation in Idlib to kill Baghdadi, a former leader of the Islamic State.

He said that with the rapid increase in the number of countries participating in this campaign and giving all contradictory information, questions are also being raised and doubts are being raised as to how credible this campaign is, and especially how successful Happened.

There were earlier reports that Russia had also played a role in this campaign, but Russia's Ministry of Defense spokesperson Konashenkuff denied it.

He said that the place where the news of Baghdadi's death is coming is that the enemy of the Islamic State and the Jihadist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham, so the former leader of the Islamic State would be there to demand evidence from America.

Iran's Information Minister Mohammad Javed Azari tweeted on the US operation that it is not a big deal, you have killed your own born.

Like Iran, a news channel of Iran has raised the question that Baghdadi was hiding in Idlib of Syria, which is the territory of the enemy force of the Islamic State. Also said that Trump will use Baghdadi's death in the 2020 presidential elections. The channel reminded of a statement given by Trump in the 2016 elections in which he himself stated that the US government has created the Islamic State.

Iranian officials have previously held America responsible for the Islamic State.

Iraq's state TV has claimed that Iraq gave intelligence to the US-led team that helped reach the Islamic State's chief, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi.

Earlier, the Iraq news agency had confirmed the death of Baghdadi by quoting an intelligence officer.

At the same time, there was a sharp response from the Syrian government media.

Government news agency Sana said that after using Baghdadi as a weapon of terrorism in Syria and Iraq for many years, the US President announced the killing of Baghdadi today.

The Al Jazeera news channel emphasized in the news coverage that the campaign was carried out without Turkey's permission and that Baghdadi was not killed by the US military, but by Baghdadi himself.
