US President Donald Trump on November 12 at the Economy Club in New York targeted India, Russia and China while speaking on climate change.

He said in his address, "I want clean air all over the earth, clean water along with clean air. People ask me the question what are you doing for your part. I have a small problem with this. We have a small piece of land - that is our America. If you compare it to other countries, like China, India and Russia, like many countries, they are not doing anything.

Trump also said, "These people are not doing anything to keep their air clean, they are doing nothing to keep the whole earth clean. They are putting their garbage in the ocean and that dirt is floating reaching Los Angeles. Isn't it amazing that this dirt is reaching Los Angeles? You see it but nobody wants to talk about it. ''

In such a situation, the biggest question is, what is the trump talking about and is it really coming from India, China and Russia?

Actually, Trump is talking about is known as the Great Pacific Garbage Patch. This waste is spread from California to the United States of Hawaii.

According to a report by Nature magazine, this dirt-covered area is spread over six lakh square miles, whose area is twice that of the US state of Texas.

The world first came to know of it in the 1990s. According to the Ocean Cleanup Foundation, plastic waste reaches the entire Pacific Rim here. That is, Asia, North America and Latin American countries around the Pacific Ocean.

Well it is interesting to know here that this entire area is not filled with solid plastic. Rather, there are roughly 1.8 trillion pieces of plastic, whose weight is believed to be around 88 thousand tons, which is equivalent to the weight of 500 jumbo jets.

The government of any country has not come forward to clear this dirt, although the Ocean Cleanup Foundation is trying to do this work with some groups.

The garbage from the countries around the Pacific Rim is spread and accumulated in this region. It contains waste plastic things which are thrown away like this.

They reach the sea through the rivers. That is, in the Great Pacific Garbage Patch, you can find plastic items flowing from different countries, some of which may be from Los Angeles, USA.

According to a report by US Today, most of the dirt here reaches from China and other countries. In such a situation, the role of India being the number two country of Asia will also be questioned.

But according to a study published in the journal Science Advances in 2015, Asia gets the most plastic waste. Among them, China, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Sri Lanka and Thailand are the top six countries with the most dirt.
