Violence again in Kasganj of Uttar Pradesh, tension prevailed

The violence on Friday in Kasganj, Uttar Pradesh could not be completely controlled even on Saturday. There were reports of stone pelting, looting and arson in several areas on Saturday.

Although there is no news of casualties in these incidents, tension in the city is irreversible. On the other hand, the police are completely in control of the situation.

According to the police officials, two FIRs have been lodged on the incident and nine people have been arrested. 39 people have been detained.

The funeral was done on Saturday in the violence that took place during the tri-coloring trip on Friday, and after this, there was a sudden rise in violence in the city.

An attempt was made to fire after looting in nearly two dozen shops in the Sahavar gate area.

Apart from this, many shops in Nadari Gate and Baradwari were set on fire.

These two terrains are easily three hundred meters away from Kasganj town Kotwali.

These incidents took place, while the whole city of Kasganj has been converted into a camp. There is the presence of police and security forces everywhere. All the roads entering Kasganj city have been closed almost and the commuters are being searched.

Police and administration officials are patrolling the streets of Kasganj and they are running away from anyone on the road.

But despite the vigilance, three buses were handed over to the fire inside the city, including a roadways bus.

Apart from this, several two-wheeler vehicles were also burned. Fire in shops and vehicles could not be quenched after hours.

Additional Director General of Police Ajay Anand was also patrolling the Aligarh zone on the Naderi Gate.

In the conversation with the BBC, he said that the situation is under control now. Asked how the violence was rekindled on Saturday despite the heavy police force, his answer was: "Look, every person can not be monitored, but the police and the administration are fully deployed. Anyone who is guilty of violence will be subjected to strict action. 39 people have been detained as precaution and other people are being searched."

According to ADG Ajay Anand, two FIRs related accident have been registered and nine people have been arrested on the basis of them.

Earlier, on Friday night at around 9 pm, a Muslim family attacked by some rioters on the Mathura-Bareli highway in Kasganj city. The vehicle was completely damaged in the attack and severe injuries occurred in the eyes of a person riding on it. This person has also shot by rioters, his condition is serious, he is being treated at ICU. Another Muslim youth has been shot by rioters, he is undergoing treatment.

In the meantime, BJP also tried to give political color to this matter. BJP MP from Kasganj-Eta region Rajveer Singh and three BJP legislators of the area joined the funeral of the departed youth.

Earlier, Sadhvi Prachi was also trying to come to Kasganj, but the administration did not give her permission.

On Friday evening violence in Kasganj began, when some youths were taking tri-color journeys and anti-Muslim slogans, resulting in their clashes with some youths of the Muslim community in Badudanagar area. The Tri-color journey was taken by the student wing of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) and the people of the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP). After the clashes, stones and bullets went on. Rioters did demolition and arson in vehicles and shops.

Apart from these clashes, firing took place in addition to the incidents of stone pelting and arson between the two sides, in which a young man named Chandan Gupta died and a young man named Naushad got seriously injured, who was admitted to a hospital in Aligarh. Another Muslim youth has been shot, he is also being treated at the hospital.
