UNRWA’s Lazzarini says relentless assault on agency is harming Palestinians
Tuesday, January 28, 2025
The UN Security Council is holding a briefing on the UN Agency for Palestinian Refugees.
This comes as Israel's law banning the organisation in Israel and occupied Palestinian territories is set to come into effect.
UNRWA's chief addressed the council saying that the shutting of the agency will harm Palestinian lives.
Al Jazeera’s Gabriel Elizondo is following developments at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
