Turkish President Rechep Tayyip Ardoan has rejected the US appeal for a ceasefire in northern Syria.
Turkey says that it will continue its military offensive against the Kurdish forces, despite the sanctions imposed by the US.
His remarks come at a time when US Vice President Mike Pence and Foreign Minister Mike Pompeo are about to visit Turkey.
On the other hand, the Prime Minister of France has expressed fears of new threats from the Islamic State after the decision of US President Donald Trump to withdraw US troops from North Syria and Turkey's action on Syria.
