After being declared unconstitutional of the Triple Talaq by the Supreme Court, the Muslim women in India have been freed from this non-Islamic malpractice forcibly imposed by religious leaders. Even though India has been liberated 70 years ago, in fact, Indian Muslim women have become independent on this day. Now the responsibility of the central government of India is that by making laws, bury this misdemeanor forever, so that now no daughter of India has to become 'Saira Bano'.

The All India Muslim Women's Personal Law Board and the All India Shi'a Personal Law Board termed the verdict given by the Supreme Court on Tuesday for triple talaq to the victory of Islam and Muslim women of the country, by saying that with the help of Muslim women in the name of divorce there is hope to stop the injustice being done.

All India Muslim Women's Personal Law Board President Shaista Amber said in an interview with PTI that the Supreme Court's decision is historic for the Muslim community. This is the victory of Muslim women of the country, but more importantly, it is the victory of Islam. It is expected that in the future, triple talaq will be eliminated forever.

She said that so far triple talaq have led to oppression of Muslim women, whereas there is no system of triple talaq in Islam. It was just an unjust system made by some so-called religious leaders who had ruined the lives of millions of women. This decision has given Muslim women a new hope.

Shaista said, "Supreme Court has said that there should be a law in Parliament within six months without tampering with Shariat. I believe this law will be built without any pressure and will give Muslim women the path to prosperity."

All India Muslim Personal Law Board's general secretary Maulana Wali Rahmani, who is the main party in the triple talaq lawsuits, denied any comment on the Supreme Court decision saying that the board will sit and decide the next step.

Welcoming the Supreme Court's order, Maulana Yasub Abbas, All India Shi'a Personal Law Board spokesman said that now the injustice done to Muslim women in the name of triple talaq in the country will be prevented.

He said, "During the era of Hazrat Muhammad Sahab, there was no arrangement for triple talaq. We want that just as the law was passed, the practice of Sati malpractice has been abolished, so too there are strict laws against triple talaq.I request the Parliament to make laws on the issue of humanity, in line with the demands of natural justice."
