Thousands of anti-government protesters have once again taken to the streets in Israel.

Israel was shocked after the Hamas attack on October 7, 2023 and after this unity was seen among the Israeli people.

But six months later, massive demonstrations are once again taking place in Israel against the government of Benjamin Netanyahu. Thousands of people have taken to the streets in Israel.

On the night of Sunday, March 31, 2024, thousands of protesters in Jerusalem blocked the city's largest north-south highway.

During this, the security forces released stinking water from water cannon on the protesters.

The protesters demanded that Netanyahu resign immediately and hold elections. Many also demanded that a deal should be made as soon as possible for the release of 130 Israelis held hostage in Gaza.

Family and friends of hostages fear that if the war drags on without a deal, more hostages will be killed.

In the year 2023, there were demonstrations in Israel which shook the government. The same groups that had organized the protest at that time appealed to the people to gather outside Israel's Parliament this time.

The Netanyahu government is facing widespread criticism over the war in Gaza. So far 600 Israeli soldiers have been killed in the ongoing war in Gaza.

In the attack carried out by Hamas on October 7, 2023, 1200 Israelis were killed and 250 people were taken hostage.

Since then, 32 thousand Palestinians have been killed and 75 thousand Palestinians have been injured in Israel's attack. This figure is from the Hamas-run Health Ministry of Gaza.
