There is no hope of consensus with the NDA on the presidential election. CPI leader D Raja has said that opposition parties should unite against the BJP and create its presidential candidate.

Leftist leader D Raja said that it will be emphasized that the president of the country will be elected. He said that opposition parties should put up a strong Dalit leader against BJP candidate Ram Nath Kovind.

D Raja said that this is a struggle of ideologies, and there should be an election for the Presidential election. Talking to the English news channel NDTV, he said that his party is ready to consider the name of former Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and former Speaker Meera Kumar. Both of these leaders come from the Dalit community and have held important positions in the UPA regime.

However, the leftist leader has left the responsibility of deciding the name on the Congress.

The BJP-led NDA has run a master stroke after the name of Dalit leader Ramnath Kovind for the presidential election. Due to being a Dalit community, the Opposition is not openly opposing this candidate of BJP. Many parties like BJD, TRS have announced support for Ramnath Kovind, the majority are saying that they will soon clarify their official position.

D Raja said that we will wait for the meeting of the opposition held on June 22, after which only the final decision will be taken in the name of the Presidential post.

Let us know that the Congress is preparing a strategy to bring down its candidate for the post of president, for this it is also working on the policy of divide in the NDA. Shiv Sena has expressed its disagreement on the name of Ramnath Kovind and the name of Agriculture Scientist MS Swaminathan has been extended. If Congress also agrees with this name, then Shiv Sena will agree on this name in every situation. Opposition besides Sushil Kumar Shinde, Meera Kumar is also discussing the names of Gopal Krishna Gandhi and Baba Saheb Ambedkar's grandson Prakash Yashwant Ambedkar.
