While targeting BJP, its ally Shiv Sena said on Wednesday (May 31) that the promises made by the party during the elections proved to be just 'Lollipop'.
In the editorial of his mouthpiece 'Samna', Shiv Sena said, "If the promises are made only as electoral rumors, then the public will not faith on public meetings and leaders."
Shiv Sena, targeting the BJP-led central government and the Maharashtra government, said, "People can now be surprised to know that the promises of debt forgiveness (farmers) and to create jobs were just lollipops."
Shiv Sena is a part of Devendra Fadnavis government in Maharashtra.
It says, "Nitin Gadkari (BJP leader and Union minister) recently said that debt waiver will not be possible."
Shiv Sena said, "When we were in opposition, we used to demand debt forgiveness, but it is no longer possible."
Recalling those things, it was said that when BJP and Shiv Sena were in opposition, they had criticized the statement of Maharashtra Chief Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde in which Shinde had said that every election promise can not be fulfilled.
