The next Asian Games will be in China

Closing ceremony of 18th Asian Games concluded in Jakarta on Sunday. In this grand ceremony, thousands of participants in various sports gathering between traditional music and colorful events gathered for their last sayings. As always, China is dominated by these Asian Games. It is a different matter that China has won fewer medals than in 2010 and 2014. But in spite of this, he succeeded in maintaining his empire.

China, which is considered the sport's super power at the global level, won 282 medals in Jakarta with 132 gold, 92 silver and 65 bronze. Apart from this, Japan could cross 200 medals. With a total of 205 medals, Japan was second and 177 with South Korea at third position. While India also performed its best, it won a total of 69 medals with 15 gold. India had won 65 medals in 2010 and won 15 gold in 1951.

The Asian Games started in 1951. China joined the Asian Games in 1974, but despite this, he remains the country's largest medal winner in these games today. If left for Jakarta, China had won 2,976 medals in 11 editions of this Asian Games, including 1,355 Gold, 928 Silver and 693 Bronze medals.
