India deployed more soldiers in 'non-combat mode' to strengthen its position in a region near Sikkim, Where the Indian soldiers have been stalemate with Chinese troops for nearly a month and this is the longest deadlock between the two armies since 1962.

Sources said that after being destroyed two bunkers of India by China's People's Liberation Army (PLA) and adopted aggressive moves India has deployed more troops. The guns are placed towards the ground in non-combat mode.

The sources said that the PLA had asked the Indian Army to remove two bunkers set up in 2012 at Doka La's lantern from the Indian Army, which was near the Chambi Valley, giving the first details of the developments before the deadlock between the two countries. And India-Bhutan-Tibet fall in the trijunction corner. The Indian army patrolling this area for many years had decided in 2012 that with the security of Bhutan-China border there, two bunkers will be kept ready for help from behind.

Sources said that the advance front of the Indian Army had informed the 33 Corps Headquarters located in Sukna in north Bengal about the warnings given to the bunkers by China. However sources said that on June 6, two Chinese bulldozers had destroyed the bunkers and claimed that this area belonged to China and India or Bhutan did not have any right over it. He said that the deployed Indian soldiers prevented Chinese troops and machines from infiltrating the area or causing further damage.

Extra forces were sent from the brigade headquarters located around 20 kilometers from the confrontational spot on June 8, during which the soldiers of both sides suffered minor injuries due to the clash. After the 141 divisions of the PLA located in the area, its troops began to arrive, after which the Indian Army also strengthened its position.

This is the longest deadlock since 1962 between the armies of India and China. The last time in 2013, became the impasse to 21 days, when it was signed by Depsang within 30 kilometers Plains Indian territory by Chinese troops in Daulat Beg Oldi sector in Ladakh in Jammu and Kashmir and it is part of Xinjiang province had claimed. Although they were repatriated back.

Sikkim was made a part of India in May 1976 and is the only state with a definite boundary with China. These border lines are based on a treaty held in China in 1898. Following the Indo-China war of 1962, the Indian troops stationed in the area were handed over to the Indian Army and ITBP. A camp of ITBP is located 15 km from the international border.

After the confrontation between the two sides, the Indian Army sent an officer of the Major General rank to the area and a proposal for flag negotiation with the Chinese officials was proposed. China rejected such two urges from India, but accepted the third offer of the meeting. In this meeting, the Chinese army asked the Indian army to bring back its troops from the Lantern area, which falls in Doka La. Doka La is the Indian name of that area which Bhutan Dokalam calls, while China claims to be part of its Donglong area.

Sources said that in view of the deadlock, the Chinese troops stopped the first group of 47 passengers who went to Kailash Mansarovar Yatra. He also told the Indian side that the visas of 50 people included in another group were also canceled. The road to Sikkim for Kailash Mansarovar located in Tibet was opened in 2015, so that pilgrims from Nathu La can go from buses on a 1500-km-long route. This is not the first such infiltration at Doka La. Chinese soldiers destroyed some temporary bunkers in the Indian Army in November 2008.

Defense experts believe that China wants to establish its dominance over the Chambi Valley, which is in the southern part of Tibet. By claiming Doka La area, Beijing wants to broaden its geographical position so that it can monitor all activities on the Indo-Bhutan border. China has also increased diplomatic pressure on India and has registered a protest against the crossing of the border allegedly by Indian troops in Sikkim region.
