Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti has strongly opposed any third party mediation to resolve the Kashmir issue. Mehbooba Mufti has said that if the US starts interfering with the Kashmir issue then it will be the same condition of the valley which is of Syria and Afghanistan.
Tell that former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister and National Conference leader Farooq Abdullah had said on Friday (July 21) that India should accept the US and China mediation to resolve the Kashmir issue. But in Jammu and Kashmir, the BJP and PDP government chief Mehbooba Mufti rejected such a try.
Mehbooba Mufti said, "China and America should take care of their homes, we have to talk together, so what will the US, Turkey and England do to us?"
Mehbooba said that where where the US has intervened, you know all the circumstances. He said, "What are the conditions in Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq today? Do Farooq Sahib want to see the same situation in Kashmir?
Mehbooba Mufti said that there should be a dialogue between India and Pakistan to resolve the Kashmir issue. There is no third party in it.
Mehbooba said, "As Vajpayee had said during the Lahore Accord, India-Pakistan should talk to resolve the Kashmir issue."
Explain that Farooq Abdullah had said on Friday that India has many associates from across the world which India can contact and can ask them to mediate to resolve Kashmir dispute.
