The Taliban has criticized the decision of US President Donald Trump to withdraw from the Afghan peace talks, saying that America will do more harm than this.

The Taliban issued a statement saying that the decision reflects maturity and lack of experience.

He claimed that all was going well till the last moments.

The US President was scheduled to meet senior Taliban leaders and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani at Camp David on Sunday, but Trump canceled the meeting a day before that.

Trump was to meet with the Taliban and the Afghan government separately because the Taliban calls the Afghan government a puppet of the United States and refuses to talk to him directly.

However, the Government of Afghanistan, while welcoming the US decision, has described it as the right step taken at the right time.

US President Donald Trump has announced his withdrawal from the peace deal with the Taliban.

Trump has tweeted several successive tweets saying that he was to attend a secret meeting with Taliban leaders and the Afghan president at Camp David on Sunday, but has now been canceled.

He said that this step is being taken after the car bomb blast in Kabul in which 12 people including an American soldier were killed. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack.

Zalme Khalilzad, the special US ambassador to Afghanistan, on Monday announced a "in-principle" peace deal with the Taliban.

Under the proposed agreement, the US was scheduled to withdraw 5,400 troops from Afghanistan within the next 20 weeks.

However, the US ambassador said that the final seal on the agreement is to be passed by President Trump.

After the car bombings in Kabul on Thursday, there were concerns that despite the talks with the Taliban, the violence in Afghanistan would not stop.

For the first time since the US military operation in 2001, a large part of Afghanistan has been controlled by extremists.

The Taliban have so far refused to talk to the Afghan government, saying that they are puppets of America.

There have been nine rounds of peace talks in Qatar between the US and the Taliban so far.

The proposed agreement provided that in return for the departure of US troops, the Taliban would ensure that Afghanistan would never be used to attack the US and its allies.

However, many people in Afghanistan fear that after this agreement, there will be another phase of restrictions under Taliban rule.

The Taliban ruled Afghanistan from 1996 to 2001.

Since the US-led military operation in Afghanistan in 2001, approximately 3,500 members of the International Coalition Force have been killed, including 2,300 Americans.

It is difficult to estimate the death toll of the common people, extremists and security forces of Afghanistan.

In 2019, the United Nations said in a report that more than 32,000 common people have died there.

At the same time, Watson Institute of Brown University said that 58,000 security personnel and 42,000 rebels were killed there.
