In India, the Supreme Court has dismissed a petition related to Aadhar linking. It demanded to increase the date of linking of various services from the Aadhar. The last date for linking banking, mobile etc. to the Aadhar is March 31.

The Bench of five judges, headed by Supreme Court Chief Justice Deepak Mishra, rejected the petition on February 22. The petition was filed by senior advocate Shyam Diwan, although the Bench of Deepak Mishra also emphasized that while fulfilling the hearing of petitions challenging the validity of the Aadhar Act 2016 all matters and issues of the parties will be taken into consideration.

In December 2017, the government had said in the Supreme Court that it is ready to extend the date of linking the bank, mobile and other government schemes from Aadhar till March 31, 2018, after which the Supreme Court had given the date of linking all the services to the 31 March.

First visit the UIDAI official website at uidai.gov.in. Then go to the option (Check Aadhaar & Bank Account Linking Status) of having a bank account linked status on the Aadhar of the Aadhaar Services department. As soon as you click on it, a new page will open. Here you will be asked for a Aadhar number of 12 numbers. First fill the Aadhar number in the given place. After that, there will also be a security code on the screen, which will be seen after filling the One Time Password (OTP) on your registered mobile number.

In this case, you have to enter the OTP and then have to login. If your bank account is linked to the Aadhar, then you will receive this complimentary message: "Congratulations! Your Bank Aadhar Mapping has been done on the screen, along with the name of the account, the status of the linked status and the date of linking will come. The government has laid the last date for linking the necessary documents to March 31, 2018. Aadhaar or Unique Identification Number (UID) is 12 numbers. This is based on biometric data.
