In the case of Sunanda Pushkar's mysterious death, Delhi Police filed a charge sheet on Monday. In it, Sunanda's husband and Congress MP Shashi Tharoor were accused of inciting suicide and 'brutal behavior in a married relationship'.
Delhi Police's SIT has filed a charge sheet of about 3,000 pages in Delhi's Patiala House Court in connection with the death of Sunanda Pushkar. In which Shashi Tharoor's name is written as an accused. SIT has filed these chargesheets under section 306 of the IPC, which is meant to incite suicide and in Section 498A of IPC i.e. to harass in marital life.
In the charge sheet, Shashi Tharoor's name has been mentioned in column number 11. Chargesheet may also be filed in the column number 11 without the arrest of the accused. According to SIT, 306 means that the section of provocation for suicides has been added to the charge sheet because as many as 12 marks of injury to Sunanda's body were found, it clearly shows that Tharoor fought with Sunanda.
The same Section 498A has also been imposed because Shashi Tharoor and Sunanda had considerable stress in the marital life and in the post-mortem report of Sunanda, it was clearly mentioned that 12 injuries were found on her body. In this case on 24th May the court will take charge of the charge sheet.
