Abdul Karim Telgi guilty of fake stamp paper scam died on Thursday. He was admitted to a Bangalore hospital in Karnataka. He was undergoing severe condition, after which he was kept in the ICU ward. The reason behind death is being told that many of its organs are being deformed.

Telgi was arrested in Ajmer from Rajasthan in November 2001. He had been suffering from diabetes and hypertension for nearly 20 years. Last week, he was admitted to Victoria Hospital. Not only that, he was also being treated for HIV / AIDS.

By selling fake stamp paper, Telgi earned crores of rupees. At large, he used to publish fake stamp papers and sell them to insurance companies, banks and stock broking firms.

According to media reports, Telgi had made a scam about 10 billion rupees. Then the names of many leaders were added with him.

On conviction, he was sentenced to 30 years in prison. Rs 202 crores was imposed on Telgi.

Telgi was born in Khanpur, Karnataka and his family members used to work in Indian Railways. After the father's death, the responsibility of the family members was on the shoulders of Telgi, after which he used to sell food and drink in trains.

However, later he went to Saudi Arabia. After returning from there, he started the business of creating a fake passport. Telgi had started a fake stamp and stamp paper business after this.
