According to NDTV, Sonia Gandhi spoke on the phone with West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee from the hospital and decided on Monday for the meeting.
Sonia Gandhi is leading the mission of presenting the presidential candidate of opposition. Opposition's real agenda is to create a huge front in front of BJP before the general elections scheduled in 2019.
Prior to the Chief Minister of West Bengal, before talking on the phone and deciding the date of the meeting, Congress President has met to Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Nationalist Congress Party President Sharad Pawar.
It is expected that Sonia may get the support of West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee in this matter. Recently, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Madhu Limaye, 9 Opposition parties were seen together on one platform and had decided to unite to compete with the BJP.
Besides the Congress, the leaders of Janata Dal (U), CPM, CPI, NCP, Janata Dal (S), Socialist Party and National Lok Dal joined the conference.
