Six policemen martyred in Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada, two injured

In the Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, six policemen were martyred while landmine exploded by Maoists, while two were seriously injured. According to information received from the State Police Headquarters, the Maoists exploded the land mines under the bridge, in which security personnel of the vehicles going to Duty on the security of the construction on the Kirandul Cholanar road in Dantewada district, in which five jawans were killed on the spot. While two other soldiers were seriously injured.

Dantewada Additional Superintendent of Police (Naxal Operation) GN Baghel and other police officials have reached the spot. The injured jawans have been sent for treatment. Their condition is being described as very serious. The martyrs and the injured personnel belong to the district police and they left the Kendul police station. After blew up the vehicle, the Naxalites were also robbed four insas and two AK-47 from the martyred and injured jawans.

Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh is going to visit this week on the development journey in Bacheli area. In view of their visit, the security forces are already on alert. Even after this, Naxalites were able to target the security forces.

A large number of Maoists were killed in an encounter with security forces last month in Maharashtra's Gadha Chirauli and after the encounter in Bijapur district of the state, news of raucous violence in the Maoists has been getting due to which the security forces are already on alert.
