JD (U) leader Sharad Yadav and NDA ally Jatan Ram Manjhi have openly expressed their resentment on Monday (July 31).
Where Sharad Yadav said that Nitish Kumar's decision to form a government in Bihar was unfortunate, he said that he was not interested in it.
At the same time, Manjhi asked to give his son Santosh Suman a place in the Nitish cabinet by giving an example of making a minister in the center of Ram Vilas Paswan and his brother in the state. Sharad Yadav said, "I do not agree with this decision in Bihar, it is unfortunate. The public did not vote for it."
Nitish Kumar resigned from the post of Chief Minister on July 26 and broke his Grand Alliance with Lalu Yadav's Rashtriya Janata Dal and Congress. Next day, Nitish took the oath with the support of NDA and took oath for the sixth time in the Chief Minister's post. BJP leader Sushil Modi was made the deputy CM of the state Since the breakup of the alliance, it was being speculated that Sharad Yadav was not happy with Nitish's decision.
On the other hand, the leader of the NDA constituent HAM (S) Jeetan Ram Manjhi was being upset. According to reports, Manjhi wants his son Santosh Suman to be made a minister in Bihar.
Nitish Kumar constituted the Cabinet of the 27-member Cabinet on Saturday (July 29). In Nitish cabinet 14 of Janata Dal United, 12 of BJP and one LJP leader were made ministers.
LJP chief Ram Vilas Paswan's brother Pashupati Paswan is neither MLA nor MLC still made him a minister. Now Pashupati Paswan will have to become a member of any one house within six months.
NDA constituent party RLSP chief and Narendra Modi cabinet minister Upendra Kushwaha is also said to be angry at not being given place in the Bihar government.
In Bihar assembly elections in 2015, Kushwaha, Paswan and Manjhi parties together with BJP contested the election. Kushwaha and Paswan's party won two-two seats and Manjhi's party won one seat.
NDA has a total of 58 MLAs in Bihar. Janata Dal United has 71 MLAs in the Legislative Assembly of 243 members. Nitish Kumar got support of 131 MLAs during the confidence vote.
Two independent legislators also supported the Nitish government. There were 108 votes against the Nitish government's confidence vote. The Rashtriya Janata Dal has 80 MLAs and the Congress has 27, the RJD-Congress got the support of an Independent MLA.
