Seven agreements were signed between the two countries on the second day of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Israel. In the joint statement, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that the relations between the two countries are like marital relations. He said, "This (Indo-Israeli relation) is a marriage made in heaven, but we are implementing it here on earth."
Netanyahu said, "This is a very emotional moment for me. We are making history." He said," We are facing the challenge of terror forces. We have agreed to work in this area." India and Israel have signed agreements related to water conservation, planning of cooperation on nuclear clocks in India.
In joint statement, Narendra Modi said, "In our talks, not just bilateral issues were discussed, but it also talked about how our cooperation can help bring global peace and stability. Israel is the leading country in agriculture, water and new discoveries. Prime Minister (Netanyahu) and I have also agreed to protect our strategic interests. '' Prime Minister invited Narendra Modi to visit India, including Israeli Prime Minister's family on this occasion.
Modi presented his Israel counterpart Benjamin Netanyahu on two replica set of copper plates taken from Kerala, which is part of Jewish history in India. It is believed that both copper plates are of 9-10th century. Modi is the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel. Prime Minister Modi said that he is honored to be the first Indian Prime Minister to visit Israel, although diplomatic relations between the two countries are 25 years old.
