Section 144 applicable till January 4 in Thane, affecting bus services

Ethnic violence in Bhima-Koregaon, near Pune, in Maharashtra, has now spread to entire Maharashtra. The Dalit communities have announced a shutdown in the state on Wednesday ie today. Many schools in Thane are closed. The management says that they are doing this for the safety of the students. Apart from this, those who travel by essential work are also facing difficulties. Buses running towards Baramati and Satara of Pune have been stopped till further orders.

Divisional Security Commissioner D. Vikas said, "All train services in the Pune division are going on normally. Security has been put in place to maintain the situation. "

Police has been deployed everywhere in Maharashtra. In Thane, protesters tried to stop a train at the railway station, after which they were removed from the officers of RPF and GRP. At present, section 144 has been imposed in Thane till 4th January.

Mumbai Police has appealed to people to maintain peace. The police have requested the people not to come under any kind of rumors and do their job without interruption. At the same time school buses are not running today. Anil Garg of the School Bus Owners Association has said that today the school buses will not be run in Mumbai. Can not the risk of putting children's life in danger. He said that it will be considered once again at 11 o'clock that he should be called a school in second half. It all depends on the situation. The RSS has also appealed to people to maintain peace.

In Worli area of Mumbai, protesters broke two buses. Along with this, keeping the security in Mumbai, Dabbawala's services have been closed for today. This will not bring food to thousands of people today.

Maharashtra Police is currently posted in many areas of the state. Apart from this, several additional police forces have been kept in standby. If violence vitiates then the number of police force will be increased. In some areas internet services can also be shut down so that violent reports do not reach people.

Talking to the Indian Express, DGP Satish Mathur said, "We have made all the preparations to keep the situation under control. Additional forces are placed on standby. Internet services can also be closed in some areas, so that no rumor can be spread on social media."

Significantly, a man was killed after a violent clash with some of the Maratha organizations of lakhs of Dalits engaged in celebrating the 200th anniversary of the battle of Bhima-Koregaon near Pune (January 1). After which there were several areas of the state on Tuesday, January 2, that was followed by violence. The police has registered a case against two people at the moment.
