Saudi Arabia lifts travel ban from 11 countries

Saudi Arabia has removed travel ban from 11 countries. These include the US and the UK. Although India is not named in it. Saudi Arabia imposed this restriction to prevent the spread of corona virus infection.

On May 29, 2021, an official of Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry told the official news agency SPA that the decision has been taken in view of the situation of the corona epidemic in the countries from which the travel ban has been lifted.

According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, corona infection is under control in these countries.

Saudi Arabia had imposed a travel ban on a total of 20 countries, but now this ban on 11 countries has been lifted. These are 11 countries - UAE, Germany, USA, Ireland, Italy, Portugal, UK, Sweden, Switzerland, France and Japan. However, people coming from these countries also have to remain quarantined.

This decision has come into effect from 30 May 2021.

In early May 2021, Saudi Arabia started international travel. Services of Saudi national airlines were restored for a total of 43 international destinations.
