RSS defamation case: Rahul Gandhi said, I am not guilty

There was a hearing in the Bhiwandi Magistrate's Court today in the RSS defamation case. During this, Congress President Rahul Gandhi also appeared. Chargesheet filed against Rahul Gandhi today in the court. In the court, Rahul Gandhi said that I am not guilty.

During the court hearing, chargesheets were filed against Rahul Gandhi under section 499 and 500 IPC. During this, Rahul Gandhi said that I will face the case in the court, but I am not guilty.

Rahul was present along with former Chief Minister Ashok Chavan and Ashok Gehlot in the court. However, the court fixed the charges under section 499 and 500 of IPC on Rahul.

In a Bhiwandi rally on July 7, 2014, Rahul Gandhi had said that RSS people had killed Mahatma Gandhi. Against this, Rajesh Kunte, secretary of RSS's Bhiwandi branch, has filed a complaint under Section 499 (defamation) and 500 of the Indian Penal Code.

It has been claimed in the complaint that this statement by Rahul has caused the image of the RSS to be tarnished and its prestige has hurt.
