Stain on the face of democracy: Pakistan
Pakistan's Foreign Ministry has issued a statement condemning the Ram temple Bhoomipujan.
The Pakistani Foreign Ministry said in its statement, "The land on which the historic Babri Masjid stood for nearly 500 years, Pakistan strongly condemns the beginning of the construction of 'Ram Temple' there." The decision of the Supreme Court of India to build the temple has not only reflected the growing majoritarianism in the current India, but also the dominance of religion over justice. In today's India, the shrines of minority, especially Muslims, are constantly being targeted. The temple built on the land of the historic mosque will be like a speck on the face of so-called Indian democracy. ''
PM breaks his own oath: Owaisi
Lok Sabha MP from Hyderabad and AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi has said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has violated his own oath today by laying the foundation stone of Ram temple.
He said, "Today is the day for the defeat of democracy and the victory of Hindutva." The Prime Minister said that he is passionate today. Prime Minister, today I am also emotional because I believe in equality of citizens and living with everybody. I am passionate because there was a mosque there for 450 years. ''
On Wednesday morning, Auwaisi tweeted and said, "Babri Masjid Tha, Hai Aur Rahegi Inshallah!" He also used #BabriZindaHai in his tweet.
The All India Muslim Personal Law Board, an organization of Muslims, had issued a press release a day earlier and said that Babri Masjid will always be a mosque.
Tweeting this statement, the Muslim Personal Law Board wrote, "Hagia Sophia is a great example for us. It is unjust, oppressive, shameful to take possession of the land and its status cannot be changed by the verdict of the majority. No need to break your heart. Conditions are not the same forever. ''
CPM raised questions
The Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist) questioned India's Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath's involvement in the Bhoomipujan program.
The party tweeted from its official Twitter handle, "Respect the constitutional spirit of keeping the state separate from religion." The Constitution of India is firm in that there should not be a mixture of religion and politics. Then why is the Prime Minister of India and the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh trying to reap political benefits from the Bhumi Pujan ceremony of a temple? ''
