Railway Minister Piyush Goyal's Big Trouble: Three-Three Trains Accident in a Day

India's new railway minister Piyush Goyal has not started well. After three days of assuming their office, three-three trains were derailed.

It is reported that two bogies of a cargo was derailed in Khandala of Maharashtra. Before this, two bogies of the Rajdhani Express coming from Ranchi of Jharkhand to New Delhi around 12 noon were derailed near the Minto Bridge station on Thursday.

However, no one was injured in this incident. Northern Railway spokesman Neeraj Sharma told IANS that the engine and power box of the train got derailed at 11.45 am on Thursday coming at the New Delhi railway station from Jharkhand's Ranchi.

Even before that, seven bogies of Shaktipunja Express derailed near Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. No one is injured in the accident.

According to the railway officials, this accident took place at around six in the morning near Obara. The train was going from Howrah of West Bengal to Jabalpur in Madhya Pradesh.

East Central Railway spokesman Rajesh Kumar said that all the passengers stranded in affected coaches would be transferred to the other coaches of the train has been delivered to Singrauli of Madhya Pradesh. Rajesh Kumar said, "The train was sent with the passengers in the morning at around 7.30 am from the accident site."

Piyush Goyal took charge as Railway Minister on Monday after the Cabinet reshuffle on Sunday. He had set his own agenda till the election of 2019, which had a focus on speed.

Goyal has instructed to increase the speed of trains and include them in the super fast category. Indian toilets are going out of all trains, till January 2018, you will see a bio-toilet in all the bogies. The emphasis is on the electrification of all the routes.

The biggest challenge facing the Railways is to find a manpower. Although the deadlines are 2019-20 for installing a bio-toilet in trains, but Piyush Goyal wants to complete it by January 2018.

Increasing the speed of trains is an issue on which PM Modi and PMO have also emphasized.

According to reports from the Ministry of Railways, about 700 trains will be upgraded in the near future. Many passenger trains will be converted into mail or express and many express trains will be converted into superfast trains.
