In India, the Congress President Rahul Gandhi accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi ignoring the PNB scam related Nirav Modi said in New Delhi on Saturday that he (Modi) should tell that why and how such a big PNB scam happened and what is he doing about it?
The Congress President told with reference to the former Finance Minister P Chidambaram that such a big scam can not be 'without the protection of the top'. Rahul told reporters after the meeting of the Congress Working Committee, "Prime Minister Narendra Modi is telling the children how to give the exams, but he is not telling how this scam happened?''
The Congress president claimed, "The scandal began only on November 8, 2016 when the Prime Minister removed the notes of 500 rupees and one thousand rupees and put all the money of the country into the banking system." He said that for this reason 22 thousand crore rupees were withdrawn from the bank. He asked that who is responsible for this scam related to the public money?
Rahul Gandhi said, "Those people who should not speak about this scam are speaking and the Prime Minister and the Finance Minister have the responsibility to speak on this, but they are silent."
The Congress leader alleged that the prime minister is ignoring of such a large scale scam. He said that such a big scam can not be done without the high level of protection. On being asked that you have personal relations with Neerv Modi, the Congress President said that this is an attempt to distract attention from this matter.
On the other hand, Rahul Gandhi chaired the first meeting of the Party's Steering Committee to finalize the party's full session on Saturday. This steering committee was formed after dissolution of Congress Working Committee (CWC). Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress Parliamentary Party President Sonia Gandhi, Senior Leaders AK Antony, Ahmed Patel, Ghulam Nabi Azad, Mallikarjun Kharge and many other leaders attended the meeting.
