Question on EVM: Congress-AAP reached the EC

Congress reached to the Central Election Commission accusing of disturbing electronic voting machines (EVMs) in Bhind district of Madhya Pradesh. He demanded a ballot papers.

Pressing any button during the EVM's mock drill for the bye-election of Attar assembly constituency of Bhind district has led to the issue of BJP voting. The area will be voting on April 9.

Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal reached the Election Commission on the complaint of EVM. After meeting the Election Commission officials, he said that the machines are messy and they have been tampered with. The Election Commission on the EVM is misquoting. Machine software has been changed.

Kejriwal said that the ballot paper will be voted again in the country.

At the same time a delegation of the party led by senior Congress leader Digvijay Singh met the Election Commission. After the meeting, Digvijay said that there has been a demand from the Election Commission to investigate the entire matter and vote for ballot papers.

He said, "I did not trust EVM from the beginning. When elections are from ballot all over the world, why should we have to object? "

Earlier, Congress's Madhya Pradesh unit president Arun Yadav wrote a letter to Chief Election Commissioner Nasim Zaidi complaining to the whole episode. He said that for conducting free and fair elections, voting should be done through ballot papers. They have demanded the investigation of the entire case from the high level or central investigation bureau.

The Election Commission has asked for detailed information on the reports coming in the media from the district election officials in Bhind, Madhya Pradesh, which is being said that only during the course of an exercise program, the VVPAT was only leaving the slabs with BJP marks. In Bhind, the next week by election will be held and it was being done for practice.

A spokesman of the Election commission said, "We have asked for detailed report from the District Election Officers and by the evening we will give some answers in this regard.

The Voter Verified Paper Audit Trial (VVPAT) is a machine that gives the slip which shows that the voter has voted for which party. The voter can see this slip for only seven seconds, after which it falls into a box and the voter can not take it with him. According to the media report, whatever pressed any button during the exercise all the slips were showing that the vote went to the BJP.

The report also claimed that in the video, Madhya Pradesh's Chief Election Officer, Salina Singh, had told journalists to not give this news to the newspapers, they were seen saying that they would be detained in the police station. On the other hand, Congress has become active on the news of the alleged disturbance in the EVM machine. A delegation of Congress met the EC on this matter.

Tell you that the Supreme Court has issued notice to the Election Commission on the credibility of the voting machines in elections a week earlier. CJI's Court issued this notice on the PIL filed by lawyer Manohar Lal Sharma. Sharma questioned the huge win in the elections held in five states and said that the voting machines have been tampered with. Similar allegations have been made by BSP chief Mayawati.

BSP has been defeat in the recently concluded Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections. However, the Election Commission strongly condemned Mayawati's allegations. The commission has said that so far no one has proved that voting machines can be tampered with. While many times people were given this opportunity.

Sharma, who has filed a public interest petition in the Supreme Court, has demanded that the Tamper Test of Voting Machines be done by foreign experts. Significantly, the Aam Aadmi Party in Punjab has also accused the machines of tampering.
