Surjewala raised the question that despite this, how did Nirav Modi run away from the country by robbing 11,000 crore rupees? Who is responsible for this? Who is protecting Nirvav Modi? How the whole system was bypassed? The Congress leader said that the Prime Minister should answer this.

He called it a scam of 30,000 crores rupees. He said that the money of several other banks is dipped with PNB.

Surjewala raised the question that why Enforcement Directorate (ED) has took action after 15 days on the scam, while this case came front on 29-30 January? He asked why the Punjab National Bank filed the case with such a delay? Why did ED take 15 days to raid? Why did not the government give importance to this matter?

Surjevala said that in 2016, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was given information about Nirav Modi and Mehul Chaukasi and the demand for action from the PM was also made. According to them, the PMO had sent the complaint to the Registrar of Companies for action. Nevertheless the PMO did nothing, nor did the finance ministry take the step. In the meanwhile, Small Modi (Nirav Modi) escaped from the country by robbing a sum of Rs 11,000 crores.
