The Supreme Court has issued notice to the Central Government on a PIL seeking promotion of special religion through prayer in central schools in India. After the notice issued on Wednesday, the government will now have to file a reply within four weeks to the Supreme Court.
After the Supreme Court's initiative, there was a debate on social media. It is being said that prayer is not new, it has been happening since long. The dispute is unnecessary on this. However, Vinayak Shah, the lawyer who filed the petition, says that there should not be such a prayer in government schools which promotes any particular religion (Hinduism).
Accusing the petitioner told to the Supreme Court, "In the central schools, propaganda of Hindutva is being done, Since schools are governmental, in this case it can not be allowed." The lawyer has said in support of the claim that Article of the Constitution Under 25 and 28, there can not be any program to promote special religion in government funded schools.
Taking serious public interest litigation, the Supreme Court has issued a notice to the Central Government seeking a response. The Supreme Court said that this is a constitutional matter. On this, the Supreme Court will consider whether in all the central schools of the country is actually promoting special religion in Hindi. Is Hindi related prayer against the values of the Constitution?
