Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government in Bangladesh, has reached his country to take charge. Mohammad Yunus has landed from the plane at Dhaka airport.

On reaching Bangladesh, Muhammad Yunus said that a lot of work still needs to be done in the country. Talking to the BBC, Muhammad Yunus said that the people of Bangladesh are excited.

The decision to nominate Professor Muhammad Yunus as the chief advisor of the interim government was taken after a meeting between Bangladesh President Mohammad Shahabuddin, military leaders and student leaders.

Bangladeshi students said that they would not accept a military-led government.

The students leading the protest had proposed the name of Mohammad Yunus as the chief advisor in the interim government.

Talking to reporters, Mohammad Yunus said that it seems as if we have got second freedom today.

Mohammad Yunus also appealed to restore law and order in Bangladesh. For the last few days, Bangladesh has been witnessing a turbulent atmosphere.

Hundreds of people have died so far in the anti-reservation protests that started in June 2024. At the same time, Sheikh Hasina, the Prime Minister of Bangladesh, was also forced to flee Bangladesh.

The Government of India has said that it was not aware of the program of Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

India's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal gave this information during a press briefing.

Randhir Jaiswal said in the press briefing, "The Indian Foreign Minister has told the Parliament that Sheikh Hasina was allowed to visit India on a short notice. The situation here is also changing now.''

Randhir Jaiswal said, "The situation is changing now. The interim government will take oath this evening. Once all the things are done, let me tell you that the interest of the people of Bangladesh is paramount for India and the people here.''

Randhir Jaiswal said on the situation of minorities in Bangladesh, "We are also keeping an eye on the situation of minorities. There are also reports that different groups and organizations have taken many initiatives to ensure the safety and well-being of minorities.''

Randhir Jaiswal said that but naturally we will remain very concerned until law and order is clearly restored and we also want to make it clear that it is the responsibility of every government to ensure the well-being of all its citizens.

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Muhammad Yunus

Nobel laureate Muhammad Yunus has taken oath as the chief advisor of the interim government in Bangladesh.

On this occasion, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has congratulated him.

Narendra Modi congratulated Professor Mohammad Yunus in a post and wrote, "My best wishes to Professor Mohammad Yunus on assuming his new responsibilities."

Modi wrote, "We hope that the situation will return to normal soon while ensuring the safety of Hindus and all other minority communities. India is committed to fulfilling the common aspirations of the people of both countries along with Bangladesh."

A chapter of unrest and political turmoil that had been going on for several weeks in Bangladesh ended on August 5, 2024 when the then Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina resigned from her post and fled the country and took refuge in India.

Sheikh Hasina is in a safe place in India and Sheikh Hasina is trying to seek political asylum in Western countries.

After this development, Bangladesh Army Chief General Waqar-uz-Zaman announced the formation of an interim government in the country.

The students leading the protest had proposed the name of Mohammad Yunus as the chief advisor in the interim government.
