Congress President Rahul Gandhi said in an election rally on Wednesday (February 21) in Jovai of Meghalaya that Prime Minister Narendra Modi is such a great magician who does disappear the democracy too.
There are elections to be held in Meghalaya on 27th February and the Congress government has been in the state for the last three times, now for the fourth time the party is expecting the fourth Chief Minister of the Congress as Mukul Sangma.
Rahul Gandhi fiercely attacked Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the rally and Rahul called him as a magician. Rahul Gandhi was referring to the allegations of several scandals including the PNB scam. Rahul Gandhi accuses PM Modi of being behind the accused of scam leaving India. According to PTI, Rahul Gandhi said at the rally, "The image of the prime minister has become a big magician who can reveal and disappear things on the gestures of his fingers. He has spontaneously manifested and disappeared many things."
He said, "Scamsters like Vijay Mallya, Lalit Modi and Neerav Modi disappeared from India in a magical way, they appeared abroad in those places where Indian law does not work. Modi ji's magic can disappear the democracy from India very soon.
Meghalaya is going to vote for 60 seats. Rahul Gandhi, while referring to the accused of the scam like Vijay Mallya and Neerav Modi, said that the government can not remove corruption but it is definitely doing its active involvement in it. Rahul Gandhi said that the BJP government failed to create employment opportunities for the youth and to give the farmers a good price for their produce.
Rahul Gandhi said, "Four years ago our country's Prime Minister sold dreams to the countrymen, good days and 15 lakh rupees in every single account, two crore jobs ... tribals of India thought that they would get equal shares and their lands, traditions and culture will be safe. But as soon as this government goes to the last phase of its tenure, instead of giving hope, security and economic progress, it only deals with people with despair, unemployment, fear, hatred and violence."
